Fall is Here!!!!

Image
We are actually going to get our blog out on time this week.  Not too much has gone on this week.  One of the best things we got to see was the signs that Fall is here.    We really don’t know what to expect here for any season since it’s our first time for everything in Wyoming.  Once we got near the Big Horn mountains in our travels this week, we started to see yellow and orange leaves; mostly the cotton woods.  It does my heart good to see them.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons.  Walt was told by someone of a really pretty place to see lots of Fall foliage.  We’ll have to check it out soon, maybe this week. I think we covered Monday on last week’s blog/email.  So I will start with Tuesday.  We usually have our District Council meeting on Tuesdays in Gillette.  This week they needed to have it on Thursday.  This freed up our Tuesday morning - which meant - the thrift store.  I was looking for...

Short Week

Us at the parade  Since we didn’t get our email/blog out until Wednesday, this week will be a short one.  I left off with Tuesday this past weeks (Sept 17th).   Wednesday was one of those days that filled up without much planning.  It will be a given that we taught seminary is referring to a week-day.  The lessons are taking us less time to prepare and are turning out rather well.  It’s difficult to judge how much is soaking in, but we keep them busy and try to involve them as much as possible.  Most people learn better that way anyway.  They have not lost their desire to be rewarded with candy.  We still get tired and struggle to get to bed “on time”; which is asleep by 9:30 pm.   We had our usual lunch service at the Senior Center.  They had quite a bit of food that would spoil if not used up, so they were filling bags for us.  We left with 2 watermelons, 2 bags of grapes, 5 lbs of carrot sticks, 3/4 of ...

Finally got this week done!

A beautiful lake on Oil Creek Rd. So sorry about being so late.  Our usual relaxing Sunday’s have turned into getting ready for Monday seminary lesson.  This week we also visited Renee for a couple of hours.  She has digressed (disease progressing) and is needing some time in the hospital to “train” the staff as to how to care for her.  It also gives Richard time off from constant care.  It gets harder and harder for him.  So she went into the hospital on Sunday and will go home today.  The hospital is in Newcastle and is only 3 minutes away from us.  So we have been seeing her everyday.   Monday was lesson prep day for Walt, and I did laundry and some local grocery shopping.  Seminary is starting to take a toll on us both; with the constant preparing of lessons and lack of sleep.  We keep hoping it will improve.  Friday, we took a nap right after we got back.  I had only slept 4 hours and was just so overly t...
